Baby Bump-Date, Week 10
Desperately trying to be more faithful to my blog. Mainly so I can annoy people with weird, random facts about my life. Hahaha!
In case you’ve all missed the Facebook announcement, we are expecting baby #3 in January! Woohoo!! We are over the moon excited.
I’m not going to lie. We are a little nervous on how this pregnancy will play out. It would be incredibly rare for me to have Vasa Previa like I did with Arden. However, I do not have easy pregnancies, and age adds to that. I find myself having more aches and pain sooner than my young counterparts. Lifting is already causing me a little more discomfort than I would like. So, now daddy gets to be in charge of picking up dog food and bottled water and all of those other random things that put a tad too much strain on my belly.
Speaking of bellies, mine has decided to pop right out there this week. So all of my non-maternity clothes have been reluctantly packed away. Goodbye clothes! I will miss you. I was telling Art that almost makes me sad. I have worked so hard to fit into them. He had to remind me that it’s all for a very excellent reason. And he’s right. (Shhh, don’t tell him I said that)
Other than being old, I feel amazing. I have very few pregnancy symptoms (other than my pants no longer fitting). I do occasionally battle some nausea. But overall it’s not a big deal. Most of my craving consist of things I haven’t been eating over the last year…. hamburgers, French fries, mashed potatoes. I give in on occasion. Sweets and I don’t like each other right now. Rarely do I want them and when I do give in, it’s like a sugar overload for me. I can handle a little creamer in my coffee in the morning if I have a protein filled breakfast. I find way more pleasure out of a fruit smoothie than an ice cream cone. Will that last? Maybe, hopefully.
The strangest “symptom” I have encountered is a hypersensitivity to noise. That includes the TV, a fan, the air conditioner. I just can’t handle it. Anyone else ever experience that? Even music in the background is often enough to drive me mad. Toddler noises seem to be acceptable at this point which is good for both me and the toddler.
I’m still fairly energetic although I do require a little nap in the afternoon if I want to be able to make it thru dinner. Most days, we just do our thing. Lots of time spent playing and exploring outside. I’m walking and doing yoga most days. This helps combat a lot of those aches and pains including sciatica that often accompanies pregnancy.
Some days are spent just trying to survive toddler-hood. She is getting into everything and is very dramatic about things when she doesn’t get what she wants. It’s one of those things that is funny, but still needs to be disciplined. She’s going to make a great big sis. She has a great big brother to show her the ropes.
Tata for now!
