After last weeks little episode, I’m finally starting to feel a little better. It took a trip to ER for me to realize that I was still having some pretty significant discomfort. But after a round of morphine and a steady regimene of Tylenol, I’m happy to say that I’m pain-free.
Tuesday, I had a follow-up with my oncologist just because of the fever. She did blood work and checked everything out. All of that came back looking good.
Wednesday, I met with the chemo doc. They will be doing a low dose of chemo along with radiation. That will tentatively start March 19.
As that date gets closer, I’ll admit, I’m getting a little anxious. They will be placing a pic line (ANOTHER NEEDLE! 😬) for the chemo. This terrifies me even though I know it shouldn’t. The side effects from treatment are also a concern. Being that both radiation and chemo are low dose, I shouldn’t have any major issues (hair loss etc). But fatigue and other minor issues are still a possibility.
I know many of you have volunteered to help with a multitude of things. Thank you for that!
Our biggest need at the moment, is lining up babysitting for Miss Arden. It’s a little difficult because I don’t have specifics yet. But if you’d be interested in spending an hour or so with her once a week, let me know.
I know many have volunteered their non-babysitting services. Those offers have not fallen on deaf ears.
Thanks again!
